Privacy Policy
Last updated October 8, 2026
This policy explains how DeltaVDevs, the independent developer publishing as DeltaVortex, handles information on Logger at logger.deltavdevs.com and every workspace subdomain under it. For privacy questions or requests, contact contact@deltavdevs.com.
What we collect
You sign in to Logger with Ward, the DeltaVDevs account service. From Ward we receive your Ward account ID, display name, username, profile picture address and email address. They are refreshed each time you sign in. We record when you agreed to these policies and when you last used Logger.
Inside workspaces we store what you and your teammates put there: logs, next steps, items and their history, images attached to logs, hours attached to logs, subteam and role membership, titles, join requests and their messages, invite links (stored as a hash), and a short activity history such as who joined or picked up an item. When you press Start, we store what you said you are working on until you stop or a day passes.
Technical information includes request times, IP addresses in short-lived server logs, browser information and error or security logs used to run and protect the service.
Images
Before an image is stored we remove its metadata, including EXIF and the GPS location phones often add. Images are kept in a private storage bucket and shown only to people who can see the workspace they were posted in.
DeltaTime
Connecting DeltaTime is optional. It goes through Ward’s DeltaTime permission, which lets Logger read your DeltaTime statistics and nothing else. We store your DeltaTime account ID and name, plus encrypted Ward access and refresh tokens, until you disconnect or delete your Logger data. When you post a log with hours from DeltaTime, Logger asks DeltaTime for the total tracked between your previous log and now, and saves that total, the project name and the time window on the log. Raw heartbeats and editor activity are never copied into Logger.
Who can see what
In a private workspace, logs, items, images, hours and the member list are visible only to its members. Anyone can see that the workspace exists and its name, because the name is in its address. In a public workspace, the name, description and member count are visible to everyone. If the owner allows previews, visitors can also read its board, logs and images without joining.
Link previews (Open Graph and Twitter cards) follow the same rule: private workspaces show only their name, public ones show their name, description and member count. Public workspace pages may be indexed by search engines; private ones ask not to be.
Within a workspace, your role decides what others see about you. By default only people with the Reports permission see everyone’s hours; the owner can make reports open to all members. Workspace owners and admins can see join requests and their messages.
DeltaVDevs administrators can view, export, suspend and delete workspaces and their data through our admin console, Telescreen, to handle abuse reports, legal requests and support. Admin actions are logged.
Why we use information
We use information to sign you in, run the workspaces you join, show your work to the people you share it with, compute hours, prevent spam and abuse, and keep the service secure. Where data protection law requires a legal basis, these uses rely on providing the service you asked for, our legitimate interest in running and securing it, legal obligations, or your consent where it is required. Workspace owners decide who joins their workspace and what it is used for.
Storage and service providers
Logger runs on Railway. PostgreSQL holds accounts and workspace content. Images are stored in Cloudflare R2. Ward and DeltaTime are DeltaVDevs services with their own policies. These providers process information to host and operate Logger, and it may be processed outside your country, with the protections applicable law requires. We do not sell personal information, show ads or send marketing email.
Cookies
Essential cookies keep you signed in across logger.deltavdevs.com and its workspace subdomains. The sign-in cookie lasts 30 days or until you sign out. Short-lived cookies (10 minutes) protect the Ward and DeltaTime sign-in steps. The dv_consent cookie remembers your cookie choice for 12 months. None of these need consent.
One cookie is optional: dv_vid, a random visitor ID kept for 13 months, plus a random ID for the current browser tab in session storage. They are only set if you choose “Allow analytics” in the cookie banner, which appears separately on each workspace subdomain. You can change your choice with Cookie settings in the footer. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, we treat it as a no.
If you install Logger as an app, your browser keeps a copy of the app’s pages, styles and images you opened so it can show an offline page. Uninstalling the app or clearing site data removes them.
Analytics
A small script from analytics.deltavdevs.com records the page you open, the page that linked you here, campaign tags in the link (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign), your device type and browser, and which links to other websites you follow. Other query parameters are dropped. We also count traffic from our host’s request logs. Neither stores your IP address: we keep a hash of it that changes every day, and the key for each day is deleted after two days. Counting without a visitor ID relies on our legitimate interest in understanding how Logger is used; the visitor ID relies on your consent.
After 13 months we delete everything in our analytics that could identify a person (visitor and session IDs, IP hashes and browser user agents) and keep only counts, pages, sources and timings. Analytics data stays with us and our host; we don’t use third-party analytics.
Retention and deletion
Workspace content is kept until it is deleted by its author, a workspace admin, the owner or a DeltaVDevs administrator. Deleting a workspace deletes its logs, items, images, roles, subteams, memberships, requests and invites. Image files are removed from storage shortly after, in the background.
Leaving a workspace removes your membership. Logs you posted stay in that workspace, since they are part of the team’s record, unless you delete them first. From your account page you can delete your Logger data: your profile, memberships, DeltaTime connection and sessions are removed, and you can choose to delete every log and image you posted as well. If you don’t, those logs remain and show as posted by a former member. You must transfer or delete a workspace you own first. Your Ward account is separate and is managed in Ward.
Server logs and backups have their own rotation, and copies may remain until it runs. Limited information may be kept when needed for legal obligations or to resolve security incidents, with access limited to that purpose.
Your rights
Contact contact@deltavdevs.com to request access to, correction of, an export of, or deletion of your personal information. Depending on where you live, you may also be able to restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, and complain to your local data protection authority. Information in a workspace may also belong to the team; for requests about a workspace’s content we may involve its owner. We may need to confirm a request is yours, and we will never ask for your password.
If you live in California, the CCPA gives you the right to know what we collect, to have it deleted or corrected, and not to be treated differently for using those rights. We don’t sell or share personal information, and we honor Global Privacy Control.
Security and younger users
Sessions and invite codes are stored only as hashes, DeltaTime tokens are encrypted, and every form is protected against cross-site requests. No service can promise perfect security. Logger is not meant for children under 13 or anyone below the minimum age where they live. Contact us if you think a child has given us personal information so we can look into it.
Changes
We date changes on this page and ask everyone to agree again when it changes. Questions can go to contact@deltavdevs.com.
